BBQ and Family

Tonight my family had a BBQ in my honor. My last solid food for a couple of days. There's nothing like a BBQ'd hamburger. Thanks Dad for grilling. My Mom made strawberry shortcake for dessert with real whipped cream. We even splurged a little and squirted the cream into our mouths directly. It was such a beautiful evening we were able to eat outside.

Kendal, Katelyn and Gracie made me a "Get Well Bear" at the Bear Mill in the Oly mall. I'm going to take it to the hospital with me, so it will keep me company. It is very cute and says "I Love You" when squeezed. Beth got me a great jogging outfit that I will probably be wearing a lot until my stomach is healed. Jennifer gave me a guardian angel pin to watch over me.

I am so grateful for all the comments you are all leaving for me. You can't even imagine how great it makes me feel knowing there are so many people praying and rooting for me. I have some of the best friends and family on the planet.

Just wanted to say that I'm a little jealous about the whipped cream incident mentioned in this evening's post. :) I'm thinking of you, and just sent your blog link to ALL of the people who've asked how you are doing and have been sending their prayers. There have been many :)

Love you guys,
Anne

Jamie

It was great to see you in high sprits last night. When you return home and your appetite returns Jennifer and I will take you and John to the New Japanese steak house on Martin way I mentioned a few weeks ago. Don't worry we won't go without we will be waiting patiently for you to feel up for it. But be hungry because the food is usually pretty good!

In the event that you forget something at home just let Jennifer know and I can drop it off at the front desk for you or John. I am in Seattle for work every day so it would be no trouble at all just ask! Talk to you soon.

Jamie, I hope your 'cleansing' is going okay with as little discomfort as possible and you have a good night's rest. You have a BIG cheering section cheering you on to beat the ugly monster into submission. Think tough. You and that wonderful husband of yours make a STRONG team.
Love, Sharon

Again, you are constantly in my thoughts. Tonight I will making some teal "ribbons" with my own crafty touch and will get one to you as soon as possible:) (Do you know how hard it is to find crafts in the color teal?) So, sleep well (you too John!) and think about all of the love that is being sent your way before, during, and after your surgery. I know...I KNOW you will get through this and be an even stronger woman at the end.

Lots of Love,
Jen, Chris, my mom, my friends, my cousin Theresa, and many many more!
