Post Chemo Update

Just a quick update post chemo. Things are progressing as many said they would. I am losing my hair in smallish clumps, not really noticable, but none the less it is falling out. I am still a bit on the chemo downhill, with Sunday being my worst day so far. Pretty much had to lay around and moan for that one. Today has been slightly better, but the muscle aches I could do without.

Don and Judy Mills visited today and brought tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. It was very nice to visit and kind of them to bring me provisions! They brought us tales of all the happenings on Vaughn bay. It was fun to catch up. Tomorrow we will meet with the younger Mills clan on their way back from the ocean. Can't wait.

Thanks to all who comment. I love reading and re-reading to lift my spirits. I love you all

Jamie-

Sorry to startle you from your rest today. We had to stop by and bring the strawberries that Kendal and Gracie picked specially for you. Katelyn and Gracie are resting quietly upstairs after their walk around the block for a nightly stroll in their princess dresses. Nick was a gentleman and carried Katelyn's purse so I could give her a piggy backride. What a guy!!!

I hope you are resting a little easier tonight. Having John home in the evening to wait on you must be nice.

Don't hesitate to call and ask for anything! Have a great visit with Matthew, Lisa, Kelson and McKenzie.

Love You!!

I hope you will be able to use your new picnic table soon. We must have gotten your weekend weather here today as it was about 10 degrees cooler. The little breeze kept the mosquitoes off when I took the dogs down to the river for a walk.

Some of the wild bunnies here(& there must be 50!) look like BB. About half are black(thus the name, "Black Rabbit RV").In the mornings they chase each other around and kick and play, and graze on the grasses. During the heat they lay around under all the trailers. They are so use to the activity, and even the dogs, that they don't even run when you walk within a few feet of them. Of course, dogs are required to be leashed! LOL The ground is covered with M&M's, as Sharon calls them, which Sam ignores and Stella relishes. Thank goodness it is so dry here.It certainly must be the most unique RV park most of us have seen!

My dad has eaten so many Spooner strawberries I worried he might be sick! Unfortunately, I was not as successful with the fresh peas and new potatoes I brought from Moses Lake, which he informed me he didn't like!!Please smack me upside the head if I get too (more?)outspoken!

Hello to all the Mills! (I hope they are lurking out there ;) Seems like forever since we have seen them. Guess they better come to Shelton for smores, huh?

Glad to hear you are starting to feel better. Find something yummy to push those pills down. My Mom says she uses chocolate! LOL She asks me about you every day.

Love,Kathy

Hi Jamie! Sorry to hear of your muscle aches. Does heat help? Does massage help? Would soaking in a hot tub help? Do the nurses at SCCA have any pointers or tips?

We'll be speculating on how your new hair will grow out. How would you feel about curly hair?

If you have any food cravings or can think of anything that would taste good for the moment, just let me know.

Hope you feel well enough in the next fews days and next week to get out of the house.

As always, we think of you every day.

Sharon

Visits from the Mills - excellent! That should get you some more "trying not to laugh" ab work. It's always so fun to visit with them. I thought of Kelson yesterday (at Martin & Robin's wedding) when he was "gettin' pie for the ladies" and being such a charming little gentleman serving you & me pie (but not getting any for Matthew). Joel & I always use that expression when a fellow's being smooth with the gals...as Erik was yesterday at the pool - charmin' the gals in bikinis...apparently he's working on being John & Joel's "Montana barista-intern recruiter".

You should find out when we can go to Soul Ease for massages...it sounds like you're going to be needing them. Lots of glorious, therapuetic massage. And, they should be covered my medical insurance too!

Good morning! It was so good to see you yesterday, and I have to (guiltily) admit that I am enjoying spending a little more time with you on a regular basis. Hope you will keep up with your walks around the neighborhood - not only do you have beautiful yards to look at, but such nice people who live around you! Not that you are ever left alone these days :) but it's nice to know there are friendly faces nearby.

I was so glad you liked the hat and think it looks super cute and very summery. If you like those I will be sure to get you a few more so you've got some "wardrobe options." After all, we all know how vain you are... ;)

Thanks for sharing lunch with me - I'll bring Wilson for the next visit.

Love,
Anne

Going to be 93 here today & I am trying to figure out how to stay cool short of hiding out in the trailer!! I wanted to make a couple of stops in Msla and am trying to picture in my mind any trees I have seen there. Pete would be SO disappointed if Sam didn't meet him at the airport! LOL
Stel is like me and wilts in the heat, so maybe she GETS to stay in the cool trailer! Darn! Pete always says Sam helps him drive, so maybe she could go? As we all know, they let anyone drive in Mt.;)
Wish I were there with you.......sipping "mint julips" in the shade of your big tree.
Love, K
