10's a Magic Number

Well, I didn't break double digits, but my CA-125 is down to 10!! I was pretty elated and Heidi my nurse was very excited too. She said she didn't expect it to get that low.

For IP chemo the number will fluctuate as the proteins are moving around in my abdomen. So I'm supposed to expect that the levels will go up. I'm glad she told me, otherwise I might have been worried.

Physical therapy is going well and I got my first pair of compression stockings(the panty hose type) today. We're going hiking this weekend for an overnighter, so it should be interesting trying to put on the stockings in the tent. I'm sure you all get the picture. In my head I'm laughing hysterically.

Jamie-

You continue to AMAZE me!!! I am so proud of you and all your hard work to get this far. Have a wonderful hike. I'm sure you will find a way to put the stockings on in a tight situation, you have been able to figure out harder things before now:)

Thanks for all that you do for me and Katelyn!!

We love you guys!

I've always wanted to be a "ten"...way to go Jamie!!!! I can remember struggling into those stockings when I was 7 months pregnant....now there's a picture. Please don't post any pictures of the stocking event...we'll just let our minds take over and laugh a lot!! Seriously, the stockings will help...will reduce the swelling and help leg and joint pain too.
Keep up the determined attitude and hard work.
Love ya lots,
Nona

Your first round of chemo is now in the past. Hooray! And you've come through strong and healthy in both body and spirit . . . what a testament to the dilegence of both of you.

Enjoy every minute of your three week break. Have fun hikes and let your inner selves be strengthened for the IP round.

Good job, you two!! All that hard work is paying off!

Now off to relish a weekend in the mtns.....Yes, I laughed too at the idea of doing ANYTHING inside a tent short of putting sweats on!! Been there, done that! Good test of agility! Have fun!!

Wow that's great news! Hiking should be a good time, hope you guys have fun... the stockings sound interesting. Or think of them as hi-performance hiking spandex. I know quite a bit about stockings from my childhood. Ummm, I think we'll stop there...
